Fiskars Functional Products’ Category Management team is looking for a

Senior Product Manager, Cookware

Position is based in Fiskars Campus Helsinki, Finland 

Our company is the oldest company in Finland (after Finnish post office though), but we still have some work to do and there you - dear candidate - come in the picture. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Manager to drive sustainable growth for Fiskars cookware business globally. Geographical focus will be on our European business while increasingly collaborating across our Global Category Management team to create and manage product offerings sold globally. In your role you will be responsible for consumer-focused portfolio lifecycle management reflecting the category strategy. You have active role in the cookware category strategy development together with the Cooking category Business Lead and you manage the innovation roadmap for cookware category and execute international launches.  Also, as this is a senior role, it is pictured that this role will carry team lead responsibilities in the near future based on the set category ambitions.

Success in the role will require close collaboration in cross functional and virtual teams with R&D, Consumer Insights, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain and Sales. You report to respective Cooking category Business Lead but in the end of the day we are looking for a good team player, who enjoys working as part of a bigger team.

Job purpose

To provide a premium retail and crystal engraving service by delivering a consistently high level of product knowledge to maximise sales and to promote repeat business with local and international visitors within the House of Waterford Crystal and other retail environments.

  1. Freehand personal engraving of Waterford Crystal products within the House of Waterford Crystal and Ireland business unit.

Position is based in Fiskars Group Campus Helsinki, Finland. Position is fixed term family leave replacement for one and a half year.   

Summary of the job:

The NPD Coordinator has a key role in supporting and securing that the New Product Development (NPD) process works smoothly and meets its targets. She/he is managing operative tasks in the process and assisting in NPD projects and managing small NPD related projects. She/he is acting as a key user and managing the Project Management tool (Starbrix) as well as supporting the NPD Process team of Scandinavian Living and E&CL businesses. She/he is acting as IPR coordinator for Scandinavian Living Business being the key contact to Fiskars IPR unit. 

Key tasks:

  • Manage the Project management tool as a key user including user education and support and the tool development

  • NPD process training and support 

  • Operative tasks in steering and reviewing the NPD projects, organising meeting schedules and making meeting notes, providing reports and documentation as needed and maintaining records

  • Assisting in NPD projects e.g. samples, packaging development and data collection 

  • Managing small projects

  • Acting as an IPR coordinator for Scandinavian Living business.

Marketing Trainee

Marketing Trainee supports the marketing team of Iittala stores and outlets in Finland. The main purpose of this role is to make an impact on shoppers via best in class brand marketing and, thereby, increase the sales of our retail. The trainee works closely with the Retail Marketing Manager and Specialist and helps stores and outlets in their marketing activities. This role reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, Living, while strongly co-operating with the Finland marketing function. 


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating store events (for example openings) and helping to arrange fairs or similar

  • Updating co-operation websites and portals, local marketing updates to marketing calendar

  • Helping with communication and assisting in bigger campaigns

  • Supporting with Myiittala customer loyalty program

  • Coordinating marketing materials and handling marketing invoices 

  • Supporting travel marketing

  • Small projects (e.g. with print house) and other possible marketing related tasks  


    We expect you to have:

  • A degree, or be close to graduation, especially in a commercial discipline (e.g. Marketing)

  • Experience in retail is seen as a great advantage

  • Understanding of retail landscape and Fiskars Group brands

We are now looking for a

Marketing Manager, Arabia & ECL (Fixed-term)

to lead implementation of Arabia marketing strategy in Finland together with Finland Sales Unit marketing and sales teams.  The main content of the role is to lead the brand and trade marketing based on annual plans provided by Scandinavian Living business. You will have a leading role in driving the Arabia brand preference in all consumer touchpoints (omni-channel approach) and thereby securing Arabia’s sustainable and profitable growth.

In addition to Arabia brand you will lead the trade marketing for our English Crystal and Living brands (Wedgewood, Waterford, Royal Doulton & Royal Albert) in Sales Unit Finland. 

In this role, you report to Head of Marketing, while strongly co-operating with Retail marketing manager, PR & Communication Manager, Sales team and Global marketing and business team.

Key Responsibilities

You are responsible of planning and leading the execution of the annual marketing plan and annual campaign plan and toolbox. You will have the overall responsibility for the activity plans and implementation of them in Finland, including media investments, influencer cooperation, social media and product placements.

Annual pricing, product portfolio creation and channel strategy will be among your key responsibilities. Planning and managing customer and retail-specific activities, steering the creation of POS materials and supporting sales are an important part of your duties.

You will provide coaching and support on daily basis to PR, Trade and Retail marketing specialists within the Finnish Sales Unit. In order to succeed, you will co-operate with Global Business Unit and other internal key stakeholders.

You will also initiate and take part in sales follow-up and analyse and follow up on brand performance in the market. Monthly reporting as well as budget and cost follow-up is required in this position.


What we expect from you

You should have a degree in Business or Marketing, equivalent to master’s level. We expect you to have 5+ years of marketing experience and a proven track-record of delivering outstanding marketing results. Experience from retail marketing/sales as well as knowledge in retail market dynamics and shopper behavior in store environment is considered as a plus.

You have a holistic and wide understanding of multichannel strategies and activities. Ability to lead and form the national marketing strategy as well as planning and executing campaigns while improving them continually. You should have excellent written and spoken skills in Finnish and English.

This position is fixed-term maternity-leave replacement for a period of one year.
