Fiskars Group supports Finnish education
Fiskars Group supports two Finnish universities of applied sciences through donations. EUR 50,000 has been donated to each Arcada and Novia to support education.
Fiskars Group is supporting two Finnish universities of applied sciences, Arcada, based in Helsinki, and Novia, based in Raseborg, by donating EUR 50,000 each.
“We want to promote high quality education in Finland. Fiskars Group aims at making the everyday extraordinary, and we want to nurture the creativity of young people studying in different fields”, said Jaana Tuominen, President and CEO of Fiskars Group. “
“Our ambition is to be at the forefront and support innovative thinking for a sustainable future. It is great to have Fiskars Group, a company that shares our values, support our education and research. We are extremely grateful for the donation we have received and look forward to even closer cooperation in the future”, said Arcada’s Rector Mona Forsskåhl.
“I would like to warmly thank Fiskars Group for the donation. Our task is to be in constant dialogue with businesses to ensure that the education we provide answers the needs of the regions where we operate”, said Örjan Andersson, the Principal and President of Novia University of Applied Sciences.
Enhancing creativity and innovation is a core part of Fiskars Group's sustainability work. Last year the company donated EUR 250,000 to Aalto School of Arts, Design and Architecture to contribute to the development of high-quality design and art education in Finland.
