We are looking for an HR Manager, Retail, to join our Finland & North East team of HR professionals. As an HR Manager you will be responsible for all human resource and employee relations activities in the Iittala Retail organization. This position is a fixed-term maternity leave replacement estimated until end of December 2020. We hope that you would be able to join us as soon as possible, latest beginning of August 2019.
In this role, you would report to HR Director, Finland and North East, while closely co-operating with Head of Retail, Sales Unit Finland team leaders and Store Managers on daily basis.
Your main responsibility will be to lead the implementation of Fiskars people agenda and activities together with the line managers of the Iittala Stores and Outlets in Finland. You will be a member of the Store management team and work closely with the line managers, coaching the organization to achieve the strategic operations and business targets. You are responsible for the co-operation with employee representatives, applying and coaching the managers in labour law and collective agreements related topics. You will have a key role in contributing to the development of a work environment that enables and supports a productive and business-oriented workforce. You collaborate closely with the country and Group HR colleagues in all HR processes, like compensation and benefits, recruitment, competence development, talent management and many more.
What we expect from you
An ideal candidate will have minimum 4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a relevant industry or background that enables you to understand the retail and commercial environment. To succeed in this role, you should be business-oriented and proactive. We would expect you to have demonstrated expertise and experience in employee and union relations, and knowledge in labour law and collective agreements (negotiation, interpretation and administration). We work with people; therefore you must have genuine interest in people and people development. We appreciate you having an ability to find, attract and assess talent in order to recruit and develop committed and proud professionals.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and influence, to coach and solve demanding situations are a natural part of your way of working. You will be preparing and making presentations, therefore having the skill and confidence to be a credible presenter is an asset. You are positive, flexible and you enjoy challenges, which you perceive as a way to develop, not as an obstacle.
