Sourcing Engineer

Based in Shanghai, China and reporting to Sourcing Manager.

Starting date as soon as possible.

Summary of The Job

 

Sourcing Engineer has both sourcing skills & technical problem-solving ability. She/he works independently in NPD process and industrialization of products, covering supplier & cost management and tooling & FA confirmation. She/he also contributes to ongoing products improvement. Sourcing Engineer takes a leading role in supplier management, good quality standards and has high integrity.

 

Main Tasks

  • Fully responsibility on NPD projects, including supplier screen, cost management, technical documentation, samples, testing, drawings etc.;
  • Monitoring Suppliers' performance ref. Targets and goals. Ensuring corrective action planning and implementation;
  • Securing cost competitiveness by cost break down analysis and efficient negotition process with Suppliers;
  • Securing Suppliers capacity in long horizon (1-3 years) and supporting Procurement in short term supply constrains;
  • Supporting virtual sourcing category team and contributing in material area specific matrix team in Sourcing office.  Coaching Sourcing Specialists in completing high quality NPD projects.

Job Qualification

Education Degree:  Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering, other technical field, experience in manufacturing, and quality control;

Experience in years:  7 years relevant experience;

Competencies:

*Strong overall sourcing competency, including sourcing strategy, supplier & cost management;

*Understand product attributes and match the needs with manufacturing processes and qualified manufacturers. Capable to make control plan with critical control points. Capable to do in-line inspections.

*Understands manufacturing processes and supplier capabilities. Able to advise and drive change and develop suppliers.

*Ability to create mechanical solutions for new product concepts,  to do product testing and validation, and to do root cause analysis and drive improvements.

*Persuading & influencing skills, strong negotiator

Senior Sourcing Specialist

Based in Shanghai, China and reporting to Sourcing Manager.

Summary of The Job

Senior Sourcing Specialist is a sourcing expert with good business insight and commerical knowhow. He/she is responsible to support implementation of the sourcing category strategy  across the Vendor Base. Senior Sourcing Specialist is responsible for ensuring effective vendor base for the sourcing category. He/she secure best possible performance from Vendor Base for whole product life cycle from NPD to end of life. Senior Sourcing Specialist contribute effectively in team of sourcing professionals and excels in collaboration also with various other stakeholders across organizations and cultures to achieve the goals.  Senior Sourcing Specialist should also be responsible in coaching/mentoring Sourcing Specialist especially in challenging NPD projects managment.

Main Activities & Responsibilities

  • Screening potential Vendors and technologies, sharing the knowledge with Sourcing Category Managers and NPD;
  • Implementing sourcing category strategy in Vendor Base;
  • Monitoring Vendor's performance ref. Targets and goals. Ensuring corrective action planning and implementation;
  • Contributing Vendor Relationship Management. Contracting, audits, Vendor evaluation process. Vendor Development Programs. Participate monthly reviews. Regular Business Reviews (together with SM);
  • Securing cost competitiveness by cost break down analysis and efficient negotition process with Vendors;
  • Securing Vendor's capacity in long horizon (1-3 years) and supporting Procurement in short term supply constrains;
  • Monitoring industry development in the region (technologies, increases of the cost factors etc). Controlling IPR and CoC violations;
  • Coordinating NPD related sourcing activities in Vendors;
  • Supporting virtual sourcing category team and contributing in material area specific matrix team in Sourcing office.  Coaching Sourcing Specialists in completing high quality NPD projects.

Job Qualification

Education Degree:  Bachelor Degree or above, majored in Business or Engineering;

Experience in years:  5+ years relevant experience is a must;

Packaging Sourcing Engineer

Based in Shanghai, China and reporting to Regional Sourcing Director in China.

Summary of The Job

Sourcing offices (SO) are part of Global sourcing organisation and their role is to provide a supplier base that can meet Fiskars sourcing needs and performance expectations. Packaging Sourcing Engineer (PSE) will work closely with NPD and marketing team to develop and specify quality and cost effective packaging, qualify suppliers and carry out purchasing as well to support Fiskars business in order to meet sales, marketing and customer’s requirement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Share information about new technology, new products, potential capabilities and production setups;
  • Conduct supplier capability assessment on cost, technical, production, quality and supply chain;
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships;
  • Study suppliers’ cost structure; drive productivity ;
  • Study local industry landscape and provide market intelligence;
  • Identify appropriate engineering standards according to product category;
  • Capable to assess common manufacturing processes;
  • Work with BA Pakcaging Managers to develop new packaging products to support marketing promotion and special sales requirements;
  • Coordinate required packaging testing, document test summary/data/conclusion and communicate results;
  • Support supplier manufacturing sites to implement new packaging components, troubleshoot technical issues and drive continuous improvement.

Job Qualification

Education Degree:  University degree in Packaging/Printing engeneering, experience in sourcing, manufacturing, and quality control.

Experience in years:  7 years relevant experience of packaging Sourcing/engineering.

Competencies:

Demonstrate knowledge of packaging design, specifications & material, production general consumables and technologies;      

Understand packaging attributes and match the needs with manufacturing processes and qualified manufacturers. Capable to make control plan with critical control points. Capable to do in-line inspections.
Experience with packaging supplier, material and process qualification.

Experience with CAD, TOPS/CAPE and Adobe Illustrator.

Knowledge of ASTM and ISTA testing procedures, capability of root cause analysis and drive improvements.

Proven project management skills and participation in a new product launch where cost, time and quality objectives were met.

Cross-cultural collaboration.

Sales Manager

Based in Shanghai, China and reporting to the Business Director in China.

Summary of The Job

 Responsible for generating profitable business within assigned accounts, territories or channels by developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies and tactics. Directly responsible for expanding new relationships and cultivating existing account relationships by:
• Learning detailed information about the customer (including strategic challenges and priorities);
• Identifying key decision makers and coordinating necessary meetings (including Top to Tops) with the account and Fiskars teams;
• Prioritizing opportunities critical to the customer/account – includes in-line, new category and promotional – includes efficiently utilizing all Fiskars resources (channel, product marketing, pr, sales analytics).
• Ensuring professional sales coordination and planning (including forecast/report sales accuracy) and develop and deliver account proposals and market plans. These efforts may be coordinated with external sales brokers or rep organizations.

Key tasks

1. Set up sales network and achieve sales target

2. Meet sales KPI ( sales target, distribution target and other indicators)

3. Identify business opportunities and implications with tactical action plan proposed.

4. Activate effective trade/retailer engagement to drive business and have flawless execution to pursue both effectiveness and efficiency.

Major Activities & Responsibilities

  1. Build account relationships and generate profitable business directly with customers and rep groups by understanding the customer challenges, priorities and needs, as well as by knowing detailed information about the account, who the key decision makers are and what it takes to close the sale. -- 35%
  2. Analyze sales data and provide accurate forecasting to ensure operational efficiency and high levels of service.
    Provide appropriate sales planning and coordination by working with marketing and NPD in order to create comprehensive sales plans and proposals that sell profitably for key customers and rep. groups. -- 20%
  3. Prepare sales budgets and forecasts; monitoring sales volume, revenues, and cost against forecasts to identify possibilities and potential risk areas.
    Reviewing and monitoring sales performance periodically and refining sales strategy as required in discussion with management. -- 20%
  4. Retail engagement and management.
    Manage expenses, as well as account administration, to ensure that internal and external resources are utilized accordingly to develop and strengthen relationships directly with key customers and rep groups. -- 15%
  5. Coordinate and attend sales shows to create awareness and develop sales opportunities in key strategic channels to ensure that Fiskars is viewed as a leader in the market and a desired partner. -- 10%

Job Qualification

Education Degree:  University degree

Experience in years:  5-10 years of sales management experience. With B2B experience is a must.

Competencies:

Experience of working with distributor model business; strong skill in developing sales channels and distribution network.       
Strong communication skills and training experience with internal and external partners.
Strong problem solving skills, proactively find solutions when meets problems.

Experience in collaboration with marketing team to build comprehensive sales plans to support market entry projects and growing business.

Good communication skills and customer orientated thinking; Ability to work independently and willing to take up challenges.

Language:  Ability to understand and write in English preferred.
