Fiskars Sales Region Asia-Pacific is now looking for

Regional PR and Communications Manager (APAC)

Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the REGIONAL Marketing Director, Sales Region Asia-Pacific.

As the Regional PR and Communications Manager you will manage all aspects of PR and communications for the business units for APAC and assume leadership responsibility for integrated 360 degree marketing communications initiatives supporting the organization. Your responsibilities include both ATL and BTL activities such as but not limited to: Advertising/marketing and PR events, media relations, product placement; celebrity giftings and other strategic communications.

You will communicate frequently with top management, sales managers and marketing and product managers on communication and marketing programs, and acts as a point of contact for the development of innovative integrated marketing activities. Collaboration with brand and key business partners, both internal and external, to achieve a consistent “Brand Voice” throughout the marketing mix to the consumer will be a key to the success of this position.

Major Activities & Responsibilities

  • In an effort to obtain “free press” throughout all media types and major editorial venues, this position is responsible for maintaining relationships with key media contacts. Nurture, maintain, and develop relationships with customers, associations, brand enthusiasts, and celebrity endorsers, in order to leverage certifications, commendations and/or endorsements and incorporate them into all aspects of media delivery.
  • Manage special marketing projects (celebrations, brand anniversaries, media preview, VIP nights etc) leveraging educational aspects of program to ensure media exposure, increased participation, and media coverage.                                                            
  • Develop, manage and execute integrated marketing communications and public relations strategy to increase brand awareness to consumers and customers – through innovative communications methods.  Provide an annual media plan for budget forecast and monitoring that ensure consistency and accuracy across all marketing communication mediums.                                                          
  • Assist in the development and coordination of the Brand story and message and work cross-functionally to articulate brand platform and core messages to multiple internal audiences.  Ensure brand mission is accurately communicated in all deliverables.  Promote and integrate the brand essence into all aspects of marketing communications.  Develop an internal understanding and support of the brand.                                                               
  • Drives continual process improvement in the management of communications development, using and developing best practices and managing expenses.  Develop innovative policies, procedures and measurement tactics that ensure budget appropriateness and dedication to best practices. Provide up-to-date forecasting, timely budget requests, and ensure proper accounting and budgeting procedures are followed.  Ensure under budget execution.                                                               
  • Manages all aspects of media relations including crisis communications, communication risks, and associated response plans in order to mitigate negative press.  Maintains an up-to-date crisis communication plan and acts as the first line of assistance to executive management on critical media issues.                                                                                                                     

 

To succeed in this position we expect you to have:

Education Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing. Experience in years – 5 – 7 years experience in consumer marketing and/or public relations sector

Competencies:

  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to build solid working relationships with both internal executives and external media and customers
  • Flexible in changes and able to work independently under pressure
  •  Good presentation skills
  • Understanding of the media trends in Asia is mandatory

 Fiskars Sales Region Asia-Pacific is now looking for

Regional Trade Marketing Manager, Living Products (APAC)

 

Based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Regional Marketing Director, Sales Region Asia-Pacific.

As the Regional Trade Marketing Manager for Living products you will be responsible for the direction and management of the marketing and promotion of Asia Living products and brands. You will act as a project manager to ensure that key trade marketing initiatives are completed on time and within budget in order to meet organizational sales and profit objectives.  In addition, you need to have a thorough understanding of both, retail and wholesale strategy in order to be the conduit between sales, marketing, and the rest of the organization.  In order to succeed in this, the position works in close co-operation with countries Sales Unit Managers, Business development Director and Area Managers and in HQ with Brand Marketing, Finance, Operations, S&OP, NPD and colleagues in Homeware.

 

Major Activities & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Regional Marketing Director, Sales Region Asia-Pacific to develop an integrated Regional Master Marketing Plan for Living brands, with targets set with Business Director - Living Asia Pacific and Country Managers.  Develop promotional strategies for specific customers and channels to achieve increased placement of promotions and other marketing/merchandising plans resulting in incremental sales.
  • Act as a project manager in developing promotions, merchandising, and Point of Purchase (POP) materials for key customers and channels.  Coordinate efforts between sales, marketing, creative, packaging, operations, purchasing, and finance to develop promotions to help drive profitable incremental sales.  This position is also responsible for promotional post-audit.
  • Assist with Customer Product Line Reviews by working with the product marketing and sales teams to develop presentations that will increase shelf space and market share, and solidify our position as a key supplier to our customers. Develop strategic plans for key customers and assist the sales team in presenting to customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team/Training Manager to develop sales/product training programs and materials to help support our rep agencies’ selling efforts.  This includes maintaining the sales tool kit.
  • Be a recognized expert on channels to improve the organizaion's ability to efficiently meet the needs of the marketplace.  Work closely with sales planning:
    • Assist with the analysis of POS data, and facilitate the category management process
    • Regularly report on market trends and competitive information
    • Regularly report on retailer product mix information
  • Work with Business Unit Product Managers to develop product launch marketing plans.  Localize sales and marketing materials related to new product launches.  Customize new product presentations for Sales meetings and shows.  Determine ATL & BTL with subsidiaries where applicable to work closely with regional PR & Communication Manager.
  • Work closely with PR/Communication Manager on media budget, negotiations and planning with PR agency, implementation, collecting the results and quality/quantity analyses.

 

To succeed in this position we expect you to have:

 

Education Degree: Master’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent

Experience in years – 10 years progressively responsible sales and marketing experience preferred. Must have extensive experience in retail and wholesale in Asian markets in managerial regional jobs. Preferably experience in international consumer goods company and international brand(s).

Purchasing of all packing materials to both factories

Support Purchasing manager in the field of raw materials and components

Supplier Base management

Cost and price management

Cooperate with internal stakeholders

HR MANAGER, PRODUCTION

We are searching for an HR professional to join our great HR team! This position holder is responsible for human resource and employee relations activities at the plant level in the three factories of the Fiskars in Finland, These factories are Helsinki ceramics, Iittala glass and Sorsakoski cookware factory. The position is fixed term due to maternity leave.

Your main responsibility is to lead and manage all HR activities within the factories. You work together with the factory management and line managers to achieve the strategic operations and business targets.  You are responsible for the co-operation with employee representatives and you participate to develop a work environment that creates and supports a productive workforce. You collaborate closely with both with the country and regional HR Colleagues for example in engagement, talent and competence development. You report to the HR Director of Supply Chain and in matrix to Factory Directors and HR Director of Finland.

We are expecting that you to have minimum 4 years of HR experience in either generalist or specialist role; you should be fluent both in Finnish and English. Demonstrated expertise in employee and union relations, collective agreements (negotiation, interpretation and administration) is huge advantage. You have excellent interpersonal skills: including empathy; listening and presentation skills.
