Business Region Europe Supply Chain Finance organization is looking for a 

 

Supply Chain Controller

to support our distribution and logistics operations.

You will act as the main financial business partner for the Fiskars distribution management team in business region Europe, providing financial insight and transparency to decision making. You will actively participate as a team member in continuous improvement projects, in their planning and execution. Additionally to these tasks you will have the monthly reporting and budgeting responsibility of the whole function in Europe as well as monthly closing responsibility in named units within the logistics network.

Your responsibilities will be:
•Providing financial insight and analysis for decision making
•Business partnering and active participation in the distribution management team
•Managing the budgeting process for the business region distribution and logistics
•Monthly, quarterly and year end reporting
•Unit controller activities for named dc locations
•Supporting the continues improvement initiatives and other projects
 
We expect you to have:
•M.Sc. or equivalent education in a relevant field
•2-5 year of relevant experience
•Good interpersonal skills
•Good knowledge and understanding of controlling and business partnering
•Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations considered an advantage
•Good IT skills  (MS office tools and SAP)
•Fluent English

You will be a good fit if you are an entrepreneurial and commercially minded team player who has an analytical mind and enjoy driving decisions and initiating actions. JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Trade Marketing Manager, Outdoor EMEA & APAC

LOCATION: Helsinki, Finland

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO TITLE: Director, Outdoor Business EMEA & APAC in Helsinki, Finland and dotted line to Director of Marketing Communications in Portland, Oregon USA

 

I.          SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Are you a dynamic marketer with a passion for the outdoors? Can you develop marketing strategies that align brand and business objectives with unique channel needs? Are you a collaborator who can work effectively across different departments?

The Trade Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in the Gerber Marketing group by planning, preparing and executing brand initiatives through EMEA and APAC. As a key lever in the marketing arm of the Gerber brand, your deep insights to EMEA and APAC markets will steer the creation of product, brand, and retail tactics that capture attention, inspire and drive consumers to action.

Working under the Director, Outdoor Business EMEA & APAC you will oversee all functional marketing activities that relate to Gerber’s EMEA and APAC business initiatives. You will dual report to the Director of Marketing Communications (US based) as part of the Matrix organization, to ensure development and execution of tactics are aligned with global Marcom’s strategy. 

 

II.              MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop Point of Purchase programs and retail assets that are relevant to key EMEA & APAC markets.
  • Develop and distribute marketing collateral and assets that support sell in and sell through of products.
  • Plan, coordinate and execute key trade shows and other events.
  • Help guide and manage the EMEA & APAC digital web strategy, including individual country domains, CRM/email marketing and social media.
  • Lead Public Relations and editorial activities.
  • Coordinate training programs for internal and external sales partners.
  • Ensure the effective presentation and promotion of the product line though all touch points. 
  • Manage marketing budget, product assortments, price lists and merchandise inventory.
  • Maintain and promote professional relationships with key account merchandising teams.
  • Provide market information to marketing and product development teams. 
  • Advise on and assist in the development of EMEA & APAC packaging executions.
  • Create and launch ecommerce and social media platform program

You will successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally between Marketing, Sales, Operations and Product Management to ensure the brand is presented effectively and at highest possible standard in all physical applications in EMEA and APAC.

Additionally, you will be the subject matter expert on the Gerber product range.  A familiarity and passion for activities that involve Gerber products is essential and you should be very comfortable handling knives and tools.

 

Additional Duties:

  • Works closely with Gerber functional marketers and graphic designers to develop and deploy brand and product marketing materials.
  • Works closely with Fiskars business area, cluster and country unit trade marketers and sales teams to ensure development and execution of tactics are aligned with global Marcom’s strategy.
  • Advise on and participate in go-to market strategy development and execution for new products.
  • Lead, manage and assess EMEA agencies.
  • Maintains awareness of the Company’s competitive position and the changing EMEA and APAC business environment.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the Gerber brand and company.
  • Travel extensively within Europe and USA. At least 20 days in Portland, Oregon, USA Outdoor BA Head Office.

 

III.       REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of a completed Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, International Business or related field
  • 7 to 8 years of relevant marketing experience (trade marketing, ecommerce, etc.)
  • 1-2 years of EMEA business experience with an emphasis in Germany and France
  • Demonstrated experience in retail marketing and/or trade show execution
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Highly engaged in the outdoors and Gerber’s core users; Campers, Hikers, Hunters, Soldiers and Industrial Pros
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience specific to ecommerce, social media, and email marketing

 

IV.            DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed Master’s Degree preferred
  • Well composed, with an unwavering positive attitude
  • Robust attention to detail and a relentless desire for perfection
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to adapt socially to varying cultures
  • Multi-lingual in Spanish, German, and/or French (non-essential)

E-commerce Operations Manager, Asia Pacific (Retail)  

The E-commerce Operations Manager is a new position within the Digital Team, Business Region Asia Pacific. Reporting to the Digital Director, you will be instrumental in the set up and operations of E-commerce sales channels across the APAC region for some of the most iconic homewares brands within the Fiskars portfolio; including but not exclusive to iittala and Royal Copenhagen. 

The role will focus on E-commerce operations but as part of the Asia Pacific Digital Team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate on digital marketing initiatives.

Major Activities & Responsibilities

  1. Define and lead the E-commerce operations of supply chain, order management, inventory planning and customer services to affiliates. Build Asia participation and expertise.
  2. Actively manage 3rd party providers and evaluate core competencies for the benefit of the group.
  3. Research and develop business systems and process. Manage operations to increase the quality, efficiency and responsiveness for the company objective and competitive advantage.
